Sullivan + Newborn | Stuttgart, Germany

Sullivan was the most easy going baby!  He was perfectly content in his mommy's arms while his older brother ran around blowing bubbles while being bribed with snacks to 1. be in a picture and 2. possibly smile.  They were so much fun!  Normally I wouldn't think "toddlers gone wild" is fun, but for some reason during photo shoots, I love seeing kids in their natural element.  Not all of them smile.  Not all of them want to be in pictures.  Sometimes, the bubbles have to be in the pictures too.  Sometimes they just lay on the ground in the vicinity of the picture.  Sometimes they have a mouth full of cookies, insist on licking their baby brother leaving behind a trail of crumbs on his head.  It is just how toddlers are :)

When I first walked inside the Hopkins' home, I noticed their Maine decor right away.  I had just returned from Maine a few days prior so this excited me.  I don't often meet people from Maine!  (Fun fact:  I was born in Maine!)  Both Heather and Chris were hilarious and I laughed so much with them while taking their pictures.   They were so down to earth and go with the flow, though I guess you have to be with 2 boys under 2! 

I loved this brief moment where Sullivan sucked his thumb!!!  I have never seen a baby so young do this!

Heather was amazing.  She had no problem telling her birth stories and letting me share her breastfeeding photos.  She's an all or nothing kind of gal and I loved that about her!  After spending 2+ hours with her, I felt like I had known her for a lot longer.  She convinced me that I needed palazzo pants after bending over to make sure her underwear didn't show and offered to hug me when I left except she was topless and thought that could awkward LOL.  Needless to say, I spent a lot of time laughing during this shoot and I'm so happy to be able to share all of these pictures with you.
